In his third Super Bowl appearance in 4 years, Mahomes took home his second Super Bowl MVP award after leading ths Chiefs past the Philadelphia Eagles by as score of 38-35. The quarterback completed 21 of 27 passes for 182 yards and three touchdowns. He led the Chiefs comeback from a 24-14 deficit at halftime to secure the win on a game-winning field goal. This game was the first Super Bowl to feature black starting quarterbacks for both teams.

Super Bowl LVIII (2024)

Mahomes led the Chiefs to their third Super Bowl victory in the last five years. They took a familiar foe in the San Francisco 49ers and came out on top after a thrilling 25-22 overtime victory. Mahomes and the Chiefs are the first back-to-back Super Bowl champions since New England Patriots did it in Super Bowls XXXVIII and XXXIX. Mahomes won his third Super Bowl MVP award, tying 49ers great Joe Montana, trailing only Tom Brady who has 5 MVPs. Mahomes threw for 333 yards with 34 completions on 46 attempts and 2 touchdowns and an interception. That was good for a for a 99.3 passer rating. He also ran for 66 more yards, 27 of which came on vital plays on the winning drive of the game.
